How do I get started?

Open the app and scan your first room — on an iPhone Pro the LiDAR scan finds your furniture, TVs, and appliances automatically. On other phones, draw your floor plan in the web Home Builder and send it to your phone. Your first 7 days are a free trial — try every feature before deciding.

How does the no-typing capture work?

Point your camera at any item — on-device recognition names and categorizes it. For electronics and appliances, aim at the label and the built-in OCR reads the serial number for you. Barcodes and voice dictation work too. Every field is optional; a photo alone is a valid item.

How do I send a report to police or my insurance company?

Open Reports, choose Police Report or Insurance Claim, select the items (or your whole home), and tap Generate. A complete PDF — serials, photos, values, and receipts — is built on your device, ready to send by email, Messages, AirDrop, or print.

What does IronKey HomeVault cost?

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

iPhone: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → IronKey HomeVault. Android: open the Google Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → IronKey HomeVault. Your subscription is handled by Apple or Google — we can't see or change it from our end.

I forgot my passcode — can you recover my data?

No — and that's by design. Your passcode unlocks the key that encrypts your data on your device. We never receive it and there is no back door, which is what keeps your records truly private. Choose a passcode you'll remember, and keep a secure backup using the in-app Export feature.

How do I move my records to a new phone?

Use the built-in Export feature to create a secure, passphrase-encrypted file, then import it on your new phone. Your data moves directly between your devices — never through us.

The room dimensions or replacement values look off — why?

Room measurements and replacement-value figures are estimates for reference only, based on the scan and the information you enter. Always verify against receipts, appraisals, and your own records before relying on them — your insurer determines actual coverage and payout. Re-scan a room in good lighting if a dimension seems far off.

My phone doesn't have LiDAR — can I still use it?

Yes. Every Android phone and non-Pro iPhone uses the web Home Builder: draw your rooms in any browser, drop in furniture, and send the plan to your phone with a one-time QR pairing. Camera capture, serial OCR, and reports all work the same.

Is my information private?

Completely. Everything you enter stays encrypted on your own phone. There's no account, no cloud, and no server — we never see your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
